We all know that trees are good for the environment. But what are the reasons they are good for the environment? After reading this list, you will realize that trees are even better than you previously believed.

  1. Trees fight climate change. They absorb carbon dioxide and other pollutants and release oxygen, which we breathe, making the air clearer for us.

  2. Trees prevent soil erosion and water runoff. Water runoff makes its way into major water sources, picking up pollutants along the way. Trees help the water be absorbed into the ground.

  3. Trees increase your home value. If you have trees in your yard, your home value increases by 15%.

  4. Trees conserve energy. Trees around your house can cut summer air conditioning by up to 50%.

  5. Trees attract animals. With trees, you will have wildlife such as birds and squirrels in your backyard.

  6. Trees provide food. Fruit trees will provide food for humans, and other trees provide food for animals.

  7. Trees create economic opportunities. Fruit from trees can be sold, providing income.

  8. Trees are good for your mental and physical health. Trees reduce stress and anxiety.

  9. Trees live hundreds of years. When you plant one, you are showing your commitment to the environment.

Now you know how many benefits just one tree can have! So get off your computer, and go plant a tree!
